Before the regular season kicks off in April every year for Major League Baseball many people who bet on baseball will make there biggest wagers of the year. The reason being is because you can bet on season long wagers in baseball and there is no point only throwing a small bet on it since it will take a full season to determine whether you win or not. If you decide to bet on any of the season long wagers in baseball I recommend that you make them your biggest bets of the season as well. For instance, if you bet $25 a game to stay within your bankroll you’d probably bet at least $250 on a season long wager to make it worth your time. We’ll now take a look at the different season long wagers you can make and which one I recommend betting on over the others.

World Series Champion

Betting on baseball teams who you think is going to win the World Series at the beginning of the season is a very difficult task, but it definitely pays out great odds and worth a small wager. I don’t suggest betting too big on this because the likelihood of winning the bet is pretty slim, but the odds make it worth a small bet. If you bet $25 per game typically then I suggest betting $50 on who you think will win the World Series. Odds are usually posted a month or so before Spring Training begins. You can also still bet on this during the season at most books, but the odds will go down after every game so it’s better to get your pick in before the season starts.

American League Champions / National League Champions

This is basically the same bet as above except you’re betting on who you think will win the pendant in the A.L. and N.L. which makes it a bit simpler then picking the winner of the World Series although not by much. Again this should be a small bet and no more then double what you bet on a single game because the odds are still terrible for winning because anything can happen during a long baseball season.

Division Champions

This is a bet where the goal is to pick who you think is going to win the division. You can bet on multiple divisions if you want too although I suggest picking the divisions you follow. This bet doesn’t pay nearly as good of odds as the above two bets, but the chances of winning the bet are a lot higher. If you think you can predict the division champion and feel strongly about your bet then you can make it as big of bet as you want since it isn’t that hard to predict this wager.

Single Team Regular Season Wins

This is the best season long baseball betting advice and I suggest laying a lot of money on a couple of the teams that you follow because it’s easy money if you use your head a little bit. The sportsbook will post a win total for every team and you need to determine whether or not the team will go over or under the posted total. If the Blue Jays total was 80.5 then they would need to win 81 games in the season to win the over or win less then 80 games to win the under. The Jays should definitely be able to win 81+ games which isn’t even a .500 record and thus is fairly easy money unless the team self-destructs throughout the year.
